I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
